Improving Sales Conversions Tips

Sales conversion is a crucial part of any marketing campaign. You might be able to generate hundreds and hundreds of leads, but if you can't convert them into customers or subscribers, then you'll ultimately done nothing – other than perhaps wasted money to generate the leads in the first place.

There are several important parts of increasing sales conversion rates for sales pages. Some of these parts include improving sales copy, adding psychological triggers, adding multiple calls to action, and improving the appearance of the actual sales page. If all of these factors are tuned correctly; your sales page should convert well.

Here are a few tips to help you increase your conversions…

1. Sometimes something as simple as changing colors can significantly improve your conversion rate on a given sales page. For instance, blue – and especially dark blue – has been shown to increase the amount of time visitors spend on each page; and has also been shown to relax people. If you have a low-pressure sales page, you may want to employ blue wherever possible.

2. Use care when crafting a headline for a sales page. This is easily the most important part of the entire page. If you lose visitors at the headline, they will click off the page and never return. If you at least intrigue them somewhat with compelling copy, you will at least have one chance to bait them into buying.

3. If you list the benefits of a given product, you will want to use good images as bullet points. For instance, using clear, fast-loading check marks or x marks can significantly improve your sales page conversion rate. Additionally, you will want to pay attention to the colors you use. Red and blue usually work best.

4. One good way to increase your conversion rate on your sales page is to add a picture of yourself in the top right corner. This piece of personalization will help pre-sell your visitors by letting them know that a real person is actually selling this product, rather than some nameless entity or pen name that is used to cover up someone's identity.

5. Make reasonable, quantifiable claims in your sales copy. Don't pretend that your product will solve a problem if it wont. Instead, say precisely what it will do – and precisely why that is good for someone who might be reading your sales page. Believe it or not, making a reasonable claim will actually improve your conversion rate.

6. Consider using low pressure sales tactics to increase your sales page conversion rate. In many niches, including self help niches, low pressure sales works far better than the normal Internet marketing routine, which can often turn off prospects. Instead, use blue fonts, realistic claims – and avoid hype altogether.

As you can see, there are a lot of different factors that can increase or decrease your sales conversions. As an Internet Marketer, you should be testing these and other tactics to see which perform the best for your particular niche market. What works well for one niche may not work at all for another. Only testing and tracking will ultimately help you find that perfect balance and increase your sales and profit potential.
